Shaw 3-in-1 Ultra Hardwood Flooring Adhesive is a single-component adhesive made from a 100% solids, cross-linking MS polymer, specially formulated for the indoor installation of Shaw hardwood floors. This adhesive excels in concrete moisture prevention and offers significant sound-dampening qualities, complying with IIC and STC building codes. It also provides crack isolation. Free from solvents and isocyanates, this product boasts minimal VOC levels, contains no hazardous materials, and is non-flammable with a low odor. It’s suitable for use on a variety of substrates, although each requires specific preparation before application. Proper control of installation temperature and humidity is crucial, and the wood flooring must be allowed to acclimate for a minimum of 72 hours. The adhesive offers a practical working time of 50-70 minutes. Care should be taken with thin-gauged solid, engineered wood, and exotic species, as these are particularly sensitive to job site conditions.
